Camperships
The National Capital Area Council Campership Funds are possible because of great donors. A special thank you to the Augustine and Dixon family for sharing their resources for Scouts in need. The Campership Committee will convene and make award designations. Please submit this application before registering your Scout for camp online and before paying the Scout’s camp fees. Voucher codes will be sent out after camperships are awarded.
The financial aid request deadline is ongoing. Requests received can only be considered if funds are still available.
Camp Ross Scouts should see the Camp Goshen webpage for more information. But applications are suggested to be received by March 1.

Tigers through Webelos (and also parents and Rising Tigers) may attend. This 3-day/night Snyder Weekend Resident Camp is a great option and opportunity for the younger Scouts and for the older Scouts (including Webelos) that may not be available or prepared for attending the longer Camp Goshen camp.
Camp Snyder is a blast for both the Scouts and the Akelas attending. There are many fun activities: archery, BB guns, tomahawks, paint ball slingshot, archeology dig, nature walk/session, crafts, fishing, canoeing, paddle boat, and of course swimming and the evening Camp Leaders and scouts' bonfire skit and song events. Not to mention the special new game created for the Scouts called "Ga Ga Ball", which is a cross between dodge ball and Thunderdome. |

Quick Online Registration Facts
- Packs register online as a unit and payment in full is expected upon registration.
- Only one person, the Unit Coordinator, should manage the registration, enter information, and make payments on behalf of the unit. (Parents should contact their unit coordinator to register their youth to go to camp.)
- All units must provide adult leadership. There is no provisional program for Cub Scout Summer Camp Programs. If a contingent is only a parent/son combination, that is acceptable.
- Non Cub Scout Siblings are NOT permitted to attend during summer camp.
- To reserve your unit’s spot, the unit coordinator needs to enter their unit information and pay for just one youth. This payment is non-refundable.
- With the online system, no username or password is required. Everything is handled with the email address you provide.
- The coordinator does not need to know exactly how many people are coming to reserve space at camp. Additional attendees can be added as youth and adults commit. (The coordinator will receive an email AFTER the first youth is paid for that gives further details.)
- Each participant will need to pay in full to be considered registered for Camp Snyder Summer Programs. Registrations that are In Progress do not hold a space. The registration must be complete and payment made for a registration to be fully processed.
- If you plan on applying for a campership for a youth, please DO NOT pay the full amount right away. Voucher codes will be sent out after camperships are awarded.
