Introduction
Pack 301 welcomes all boys in Alexandria and nearby communities! Our families include Scouts from Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy, Jefferson-Houston, Douglas MacArthur, St. Mary's, St. Rita's, Blessed Sacrament, and other local schools.
“Duty to Country” and “Helping Other People” are key elements of the Scout Oath. Our pack’s leaders and parents role model these values as civil servants, active-duty service members, reservists, members of the clergy, and first responders, and our Chartering Organization is made up of those who served (VFW Post 609), based at Alexandria National Cemetery in Alexandria, VA.
Pack 301 is an active pack! Every month, we offer den meetings, a pack meeting, and activities where Scouts learn life skills and earn advancements! We hold multiple campouts each year; we launch rockets; march in parades; go on hikes; and race Pinewood Derby cars, boats, and boxcars! We know that NoVA parents have busy schedules, and Scouts are not expected to attend every meeting or activity. Nonetheless, we try to make sure there is always something fun to do!
