What is the Annual Renewal

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) provides a charter to organizations that want to use the BSA program as part of the chartering organization's programs.  The BSA permits chartering organizations to use the program and also agrees to provide various services as part of the chartering agreement.  Units belong to the chartering organization and not the BSA.  The charter is good for one year.  After that time the chartering organization must renew its charter and the membership of the youth and adults in that organization's units.

Not all Units renew their charter at the same time.  Pack 301 renews its charter in December. We must ensure that we have all the fees collected, paper work entering into the BSA's database, and required signatures.  If a youth or adult does not provide their fees by the required due date they will be dropped from the charter and will have to reapply to the BSA for membership in Pack 301.
